Web Resources

                                                                     Hello Powered By NAEYC

In the past, I have shared about the online resource that I use to help me develop and grow my knowledge of the early childhood education field, NAEYC. Another component of NAYC that one can gather information and discuss with others various tools and resources to use to help with their early childhood education is Hello by NAEYC.

Hello is a discussion forum where people can discuss different topics, issues, and trends in the early childhood education field. Anyone who is a member is free to discuss and communicate on this platform. Hello follows and headline current events and their effects on the  ECE field and also have other educators, students, and caregivers interested in ECE lead their own discussion posts and ask questions and provoke further thinking and new discoveries in the field.

International Resources for Social Change for Impoverished Children and Families

                                                                     ChildFund

                                                         https://www.childfund.org/

The ChildFund organization is an organization dedicated to working with "local partner organizations, governments, corporations, and individuals to help create the safe environments children need to thrive" (ChildFund).

Vission: For every child around the world, to know their rights and know that they have the potential to succeed.

Mission:

"HELP deprived, excluded and vulnerable children have the capacity to improve their lives and the opportunity to become young adults, parents, and leaders who bring lasting and positive change in their communities."

"PROMOTE societies whose individuals and institutions participate in valuing, protecting, and advancing the worth and rights of children."

"ENRICH supporters’ lives through their support of our cause."

One can help with this organization by volunteering, monthly donation, and sponsoring a child. When you sponsor a child you will get the chance to correspond with this child which I think is really neat because you will have direct contact with the person you are helping which is forming a bond and relationship with another being. You can see their growth and progress over time and be there for support and encouragement for them.

This organization keeps informed and updated on current events such as the COVID 19 worldwide pandemic which is affecting us all.

NAEYC

                                             NAEYC

(National Association for the Education of Young Children)
                                                             https://www.naeyc.org/

This membership organization is dedicated to “promote high-quality early learning” to children from the time they are born to when they reach the age of eight (NAEYC). NAEYC is designed to bring together early childhood educators, and anyone interested in high-quality learning of this age group. This organization works with individuals and affiliated groups to come up with beneficial resources to help improve early childhood education. NAEYC has a diverse community of educators to help them thrive in being a useful resource to all different families and children with diverse backgrounds. This is to ensure helpful developmental tools to help a diverse group of children become successful in their educational and personal development journey.

By signing up and becoming a member of this organization you will receive weekly emails discussing current trends, challenges, and helpful resources surrounding the topic of improving and progressing in early childhood development. Of lately NAEYC sent out helpful recourses and information on the importance of having your voice heard and voting in the latest presidential election. They discussed who was advocating for early childhood development programs and what we can do to support these candidates that are on the side of improving the ECE field.

By joining this membership you are improving and growing in the knowledge of early childhood development. This is a very helpful source because it is a great growing network of individuals interested in helping the next generation of learners become as successful as they can be.
